Byberry Building Overview:

In this section, you will find information on each building that is currently still standing at Byberry. The property is described in three sections: Old Byberry, The N and W buildings, and the demolished buildings.

Old Byberry

Old Byberry is closest to Southampton Road. The buildings here are the oldest, and in the worst condition. 2nd floor ventures aren't advised, nor is being in these buildings period.. unless you enjoy being lost.

C1-5 & C7-11 - Doctor's Cottages. These buildings are all basically layed out the same way. 1-5 are connected together by a tunnel that runs parallel with the tunnel that connects 7-11, which is often called the Haunted Hallway. There's not much left in these buildings, although you can find treasure if you search hard enough. C4 was the children's ward until the 1940's. C1 connects with Old Administration.

Old Maintenance - Dead center between the 2 rows of cottages. Has a fun room in basement with many signs.

Infirmary (C14) - Pretty self explanatory. Also in the center of the 2 rows of cottages. Home the the infamous dentist chair.

Furey Ellis Hall - The Large Auditorium. Closer to Carter Road. Seats 1,500. Curtain still intact, a few small tears here and there... Backstage area is home to a wonderful 3 or 4 story winding staircase. Also a wobbly, but not unwalkable catwalk, and a rope swing made by friendly trespassers, just like you. Though I highly advise AGAINST taking THAT leap of faith.

The N and W Buildings

W3 - New Administration - Morgue Building - Byberry's tallest building, complete with a deck on every floor onlooking the trash-filled former parking lot, and the over-grown fields. Home to the morgue, on the 1st floor and the Black Hallway in the basement. Next to the morgue is the altopsy room, featuring 4 fabulous rows of stadium seating! Down the hall is easy access to the catacombs - your pathways to the whole property! Also, check out the small auditorium on the 2nd floor, or if not.. then take a walk outisde and around the corner to the bridge that crosses Roosevelt blvd.

W5 - Refridgeration - Kitchen - Shortest building on the property, W5 is actually one of the most visible from the Boulevard. It's recent (in the past few years) addition of the big black, gray and white CAUSE DRAMA tag draws alot of attention. Magically, even after all the little kids try to wreck it, it's always buffed up a few times a year. Just minutes from the Black Hallway, you won't miss the kitchen's VERY LARGE.. kitchen. You can see it from the Echo Hallway.

W6 - Mortician's - Identical with W7, they're the 2nd largest buildings on the property. Easily seen on Rt. 1. Famous for it's 4th floor deck facing Carter Rd, Mortician's is actually one of Byberry's buildings less traveled. Easy catacomb access, and a great view from the roof.

W7 - South Unit - Birdshit - Name says it all. Covered in birdshit. Identical to W6, this building also has a deck, but it's fenced in by what was once an electric fence. W7 used to be home to the criminally insane. Lots of cages in this building. Lots of wire-glass. Lots of birdshit. Watch the stairwell on the northern side of the building. A contracted died there this Febuary. RIP James Lowe.

N8 - Left Patient's Ward - Located behind W6, this building has 2 wonderful courtyards. Full of life.. and poison ivy. So be careful. Full of both group and solitary patient rooms, this was also the last building to close.

N9 - Right Patient's Ward - Champs Couch - Byberry's most popular building. Identical to N8. Located dead center on the roof is everyone's most favorite concrete lay-about: Champ's Couch. If you're looking for someone to meet up with inside, this is the best place to look first.

N10 - Temple - Tom Building - Former Tuberculosis Ward. This building is so big that it has it's own kitchen, cafeteria, and infirmary. After TB died off, it was used for staff housing. Today it's used as an entrance to Byberry by millions of people who don't know any better. It's okay guys, you'll learn. In N10, you'll find a room full from top to bottom with empty pill bottles in the basement. The Autoclave (no, it is NOT an incinerator) and the unique 2nd lower roof, great for playing with security.

E Buildings - The Byberry East Industrial Park. Buildings have been refurbished, but no longer house patients.
